The construction industry currently accounts for 40% of worldwide carbon emissions and ⅓ of the world’s overall waste. Diesel, oil, cement, paint and other chemicals are common construction materials that contribute to air and water pollution. Approximately 200 litres of water are used for every cubic metre of concrete.
With clear action, it is possible for the construction industry to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
